Yoga for Strength and Stability® is a fusion of yoga and natural movement created by Lori Gaspar that restores healthy movement patterns in the body and builds reflexive strength to support the flexibility you gain in yoga. It's aim is to help you live a healthier, longer, more active and more fulfilling life.

 

Playful approach to becoming stronger and more stable

 

Natural movements are the movement skills you develop from interacting with the natural environment. Based on neurodevelopmental sequencing, these are the movement patterns we develop as infants and children. These movement skills form the basis for all healthy movement patterns and include rolling, crawling, squatting, jumping, climbing, balancing and more.

 

Combine Natural Movement with Yoga


The primary goal of yoga is to quiet the mind so you can see yourself clearly, become aware of your patterns and make choices that allow you to abide in your own true nature.

 

The primary goal of natural movement is to reset you back to your body's innate movement patterns to restore health and well-being.

 

Just because you can create a yoga shape with your body does not mean that you're sufficiently stable in that position. Natural Movement builds strength and stability to support the flexibility you gain in yoga. Yoga for Strength and Stability® seamlessly combines both yoga and natural movement and provides a more balanced and adaptable approach to our yoga practice. The movement skills we develop allow us to participate more fully in our daily life and helps us abide in our own true nature. Plus, it is fun and playful!

She discovered natural movement 9 years ago and is a certified MovNat® Trainer. Lori loves sharing her knowledge of yoga and natural movement with experienced yoga students ready to move beyond the traditional yoga practice.
