Janice Gates, E-RYT 500 and C-IAYT has been teaching the integration of yoga and meditation for over twenty-five years, including at Spirit Rock Meditation Center, in schools and prisons and as a yoga therapist in clinical settings and private practice. Janice is past president of the International Association of Yoga Therapists, author of Yogini, the Power of Women in Yoga and her work has been featured in Oprah Magazine, Yoga Journal, and the International Journal of Yoga Therapists. She is currently on the mentoring faculty of Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program with Jack Kornfield and Tara Brach, trains yoga teachers and healthcare practitioners in how to utilize the incredibly sophisticated tools of yoga therapy with others and leads retreats around the globe. Her teaching is informed by decades of Buddhist practice, Somatic Psychology, and in depth psycho-spiritual work. Janice is passionate about sharing how these practices can help us live more awake, aware, embodied lives.
