Rebecca Stiles, 200 CYT has been practicing yoga since 2006. After leaving her job as a Registered Dietitian in 2011 to spend more time with her two sons, she delved deeper into her yoga practice and eventually found Prairie Yoga and completed her 200 hour certification. Rebecca is now an assistant teacher in Prairie’s 200 hour yoga teacher training where she enjoys being able to support and mentor trainees on their journey to become yoga teachers. She believes the practice of yoga is first and foremost a lot of fun, and also provides the opportunity for self-discovery and self-acceptance. She is currently continuing her studies in Prairie's 500 hour program.
Rebecca Stiles instructs the following:

- moving with the breath
This class is appropriate for beginners, as well as more experienced students who want a good, solid foundation in yoga basics. No experience necessary!
Asana and Beyond - AnExploration of the Yogic Path
Yoga has the potential to be a transformative practice.
Many students come to yoga for the physical benefits such as increased flexibility and strength, or for the mental benefits of a calm mind. While these are great reasons to start, the benefits of a committed yoga practice go much deeper. Due to the time constraints and expectations placed around a regular weekly yoga class, many students remain in what might be called the introductory stage of a yoga practice where the focus continues to be predominantly on the physical practice. For those students who are interested in exploring what yoga has to offer beyond the physical practice, there are few opportunities available outside of a formal teacher training course.
This workshop is designed to invite yoga students to explore what yoga has to offer beyond the physical postures in a 5 week class series. If you have been practicing yoga for a while and would like to dig deeper into other limbs of yoga, this course is for you. This class series is scheduled to have enough time to not only have a physical asana practice, but to also include other aspects of yoga for a more in-depth yoga practice that goes beyond a regular yoga class.
Each week will include:
- An introduction to a yoga philosophy or yoga history topic
- An asana practice that includes the opportunity to practice new or challenging poses in an accessible way
- Pranayama (breath-work)
- A meditation practice
- A practice sequence to take home
