Trauma Informed Yoga is a way to address trauma, grief and pain held in the body. It’s a practice to reclaim your body as your own, and to begin to learn to trust yourself through movement.
Join Lili Gray, LCSW, RYT for a specialized class series that uses yoga techniques as tools to learn to calm and quiet your nervous system. Yoga is one way to help survivors of trauma relearn to inhabit their bodies. The principles taught in this class series is based on the curriculum developed by Bessel Van Der Kolk, MD and colleagues for trauma informed practices.
Each class will incorporate basic, accessible asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breath work) and meditation. The final class of the series will be a Yoga Nidra practice (relaxing, guided meditation).
