Marinda Stopforth, 500 CYT, is a graduate of Prairie Yoga and has been teaching at the studio since 2009. Marinda is a life-long student of yoga and has studied with Gabriel Halpern, Tias Little, Aadil Palkhivala, Kathleen Wright and is inspired by the teaching of Ramanand Patel. Her teaching style presents the wisdom of the "mind-heart-body" connection and offers students a deeper understanding of anatomy and alignment. She continues to explore the application of yoga as a therapeutic tool and teaches a basic course in anatomy for yogis (200 hr certification requirement) and is a faculty member for Prairie Yoga's Advanced Teacher Training Program. Marinda is a CE provider through Yoga Alliance and enjoys teaching workshops on the topics of adjustments, sequencing and the use of yoga props, like the chair and the rope wall. She is certified in aromatherapy, reflexology and is a Reiki Master Teacher. She is a residential trainer in the study of consciousness for The Monroe Institute in VA, with her husband, Bob, and is a certified 1:1 Provider for the Institute of HartMath, CA.
Marina shares her life with her husband and two Rottweilers, Bismarck and Chloe. She welcomes yoga students of all levels with enthusiasm and holds the seat of the teacher with gratitude.

Multi-style Yoga 2-3
In this multi-style class, experience a variety of intermediate to advanced yoga techniques and sequences to challenge yourself and deepen your practice. Class emphasizes fine-tuning alignment in asana, moving with the breath, innovative sequences and the exploration of the more subtle aspects of practice. May include pranayama, inversions, arm balances, and back bends. Easier levels and modifications are provided for students to progress safely. For healthy, experienced students only.
Multi-style Yoga 1-2
This multi-style class is for experienced beginners and intermediate students looking to build strength and flexibility and improve their overall well-being. A wide variety of yoga postures, breathing exercises and meditation techniques are taught. The teacher will give options and provide guidance so that all students can participate safely.
Multi-Style Yoga All Levels
A flexible, open-formatted class that will gear itself toward the students that attend. The teacher will provide options for beginners as well as for those with more experience.
Mindful vinyasa emphasizes combining the breath with movement to create transformation from the inside out. Postures flow seamlessly from one to the other to release tension, build self-awareness and develop healthy movement patterns. Underlying all movements is a strong emphasis on healthy alignment and intelligent sequencing.
